The Sioux Falls Storm have added not just one, but two quarterbacks to their roster in Quinn Epperly and Paul Jones. Epperly formerly played with the BC Lions in the Canadian Football League. Jones formerly played at Robert Morris University.
Along with playing in the CFL in 2017, Epperly attended minicamp with the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants and New York Jets. He was also a stud at Princeton University. He set the NCAA record with 29 consecutive completions. Epperly also holds the school record for most passing yards and passing touchdowns in a game. Jones threw for 5,667 yards and 60 touchdowns over his four years of football in high school. He transferred to Robert Morris after playing at Penn State. “Students of the game! Quinn Epperly and Paul Jones are both quarterbacks that want to learn everything there is to learn about the indoor game," Storm head coach Kurtis Riggs said, per the league press release. "Quinn Epperly is a quarterback that has been on the cusp of making the NFL. Quinn is a smart, athletic quarterback that we feel can make the transition to the indoor game and can excel with his versatility. We are excited to see him come in and lead this team. “Paul Jones is a big strong quarterback that can also run and pass. Paul is capable of making any throw needed but can also hurt you with his legs,” Riggs said of the second quarterback signed. “Both quarterbacks will come in and dominate the film room and learn the style of play that it takes to be successful." The Indoor Football League will be playing their 10th season of play in 2018. The season will begin in February and United Bowl X is scheduled to be played on Saturday, July 7. Sioux Falls will open their season with a rematch of United Bowl X against the Arizona Rattlers in Glendale, AZ. Their home opener will be on March 12.
